O.K. ya'll -I went into the ratkeeper area and got the stick and crystal. Then I went out into the large room upstairs and tried to get the elevator to come down -no luck. I put the crystal into my quick items, but it still didn't work. What am I missing here?

Hi there, welcome to the board.

Select the crystall using the use/give function. Make sure you are on use. Then left click on the little receptacle to the left of the elevator. It should bring the elevator down.

Have you tried "using" the crystal on the slot in the left side of the elevator frame? Put the crystal in a character's general inventory, exit the inventory screen, click on the Use/Give icon, scroll to the crystal, and finally click on Use.
