I've tried a direct attack and she wipes me out. The only distant attack I have is meteor or elemental blast. As far as I know I don't have any special weapons. Is there some stragity to get her and her troops?

I didn't find her much of a problem whatsoever. I see no possible way a party of 6 could possibly be less than 7th level by the end of the Serpent Temple, so you really should have a decent assortment of spells (two sorc parties really ought to have Firestorm as well). You have Meteor Storm already, that should actually be sufficient. Target her as soon as you see her, she should die almost immediately. Cast another storm on her minions and finish the rest off from a distance with Burning Hazes.

Just noticed you said Meteor rather than Meteor Storm. Get those level 7 storm spells, they make the whole game easy.

Thanks anyway... |
My favorite tactic is to walk down the stairs about halfway, launch my most powerful damage spell at her, and then run back up the narrow corridors to the top corner.
I then ready my area spells for the priests. As they appear around the lower corner I fire them up with burning haze to stop them in their tracks and then use distance spells until they die (dodging behind the top corner if they get a spell off at my party). Finally, E will walk up and I can take her out without distraction from her now-dead priests. Xignal |

For some stupid reason I didn't get my spell books maxed...My guys are levels 7-8 |
Do bear in mind that if you didn't kill Elyssia's pet, the naga, one of your characters can talk to Elyssia, drink the elixir and acquire the snakeskin trait (gives +50% resistance to poison).
The best way to max up the stone and sun skills is to have your magician join the magic guild and buy training in these areas. Otherwise, you won't be able to get the level 7 spells until your characters are like 20th level.. Fighting Elyssia and her loyal servants is one of teh few tough battles in this game. Enjoy the fight... |
Thanks all.... Looks like I may have to back up a few saves and redo some of it....*sigh*

I actually didn't have any problem with her at all, and at that point I didn't have any high level fire spells, I just annihalated her with lightning and swords... I guess I must have had good armor at the time.
