Greetings Lords and Ladies!

I'm somewhat stuck in the Serpent Temple-- Kreug gives a quest immediately to cleanse the serpent pits. These lead to an underwater passage (round) that also leads to a snake figurine on a table.

For the life of me, I cannot get my party past an unseen "snag" in the round tunnel and am caught halfway. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the snake figurine integral to this area?

I don't know what to do, I'm at my wits end as I've tried, reloaded and drowned about 50 times.

Oh yes - this has been the bane of many a player!

Try using your smallest character as your lead character. Try squirming about and see if that gets you through.

If it doesn't - you're still okay. The snake idol gives you access to the Book of Servants in the library which tells you the proper response to give to the Naga Spirit when you get to the ritual bit. These responses are noted in the BEST TIPS thread - so if you can't get the idol, you can still get the answers! ;)

True, Wyv, but don't forget that if you want to become a bard, the quest item is in the room so one would need the snake figurine.
(personally I haven't had a problem with dwarves or whiskaz <meow> selected and swimming... the only close call was almost starting to drown once)

No, you don't need the snake figurine for the Bard's quest. You only need 4 monkey idols. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I've never had this problem with Pixies but The Short Party ( see previous exploits) have had problems here, and their Stouts all round I'd have you know!

Another way around this is to change your 3D adapter to "software" which worked fine for me in this spot. It made the tunnel very round and smooth and I went through without a problem.
