Reading some of the posts this morning (while taking a break from painting up a dozen BC X-mas signs for a raffle this coming weekend) reminded me of the reason I first came looking for a help board.

I was having difficulty getting my Paladin quest recognized even though I knew I had done the correct things. Ends up my problem was simply that I wasn't waiting for the Temple dude to finish talking. Still think that you shouldn't have to wait for them to finish talking but that's the way it is! ;)

So why did you come looking for a W&W help board?? And how did you find this particular help board?

Well, I was looking for help in the Serpent Temple... I was hopelessly lost... And then I found the board. Put me right back on track!
And I have to say, this is THE BEST board on the net. I haven't come across a better group of people [img]smile.gif[/img]

I came here to post the INN gold cheat in the unpatch version. However, someone beat me to it by about 2 hrs [img]smile.gif[/img] (that was on the IW website), then, I just started to read the forum to explore things that I missed [img]smile.gif[/img]

I found this site to help me get through the serpent temple. I didn't know what to do with the press in H'Tharks prison area. I had a flask on the grill but needed a little hint. It worked! This forum is great! I found it through a link from the Activision web site.

I'm about the same as most... I needed help and got too impatient to continue stumbling around.

Actually, the reason for me finding this board is a deep respect for DW Bradleys tricky puzzles. It goes back to Wizardry 7, which I had to give up beacause it was too difficult. And when the DOS version of that game was released I didn't have an Internet connection.

The first time I got really stuck in this game (and I mean it literally), was when my party couldn't get through the tunnel to get the Serpent's Idol in the Serpent Temple. I didn't realise that it was a bug, and thought that I must had missed something important that would open up the passage. Of course, by now I know that this is a VERY common problem. So desperately looking for help, I found this place... and by now I feel quite at home here ;)

I have no life and post randomly! Well actually the game was kinda fun so I stop in on occassion.

I was wandering the web looking for a game to play. In much the same manner as Wiz 8 (now), I read up in the game at this forum, decided to buy it, then waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiited for an OZ release date ;) .

The reason I came looking for the board was common technical problems I coulda solved if that damn patch help file wasn't so cryptic [img]smile.gif[/img] . I've kept coming back though as this is a difficult game and highly enjoyable and I'm pleased to see this board so often frequented even so long after the game has been out.
