I found Talrik and gave him the hooks.
He told me abt the treasure and asked me to get longtooth hide.
But since i had encountered the longtooth before i met him, i gave the longtooth to him, but he only ack that i have proved myself and all...
but did not give me any map!!!
I have not visited skull castle,i did not find it yet.
So should i have to visit skull castle to trigger this event
ie talrik might give the map after that ??

Talrik doesn't actually give you a map...He only gives you directions to his treasure. (you can still find it, even without his directions)

Another plus is...there are No points involved, so you don't lose anything by not giving him the hide.

Fortunately, You can give him the hide, at any time....and his treasure is at the bottom of the 'Lost Sea'....which is accesssed after you finish the 'Shrine of Anephas'... So if you feel that you Must finish this task...and later in the game....you find a hide...you can always go back and give it to him.

You WILL...find...his..treasure!!!!
....when you try to find the 'Cooolasium'.

I got it figured out.
When i tried to talk to him again after giving the hide
especially when i mention treasure, he gives me a paper to help me find treasure which is vague tho

Just in case -

You do not need to go back to Talrik once you have discovered his treasure. This one is like some other quests in the game where you think you might get more from the NPC that gave you the quest for completing it, but nothing happens.

Yes Wyvern true. I got fooled many times, when i was expecting some reward!!
Esp, the ratling belonging to black hand that asks me to kill raskalion!!

OH...But, Scanthril Does give you something, for killing Raskalion...The 'Assassins' dagger!!!!

I do hope you meant, that you get nothing for finding 'Grundel'. That only gets you the second quest. (unless you got them both...the first time, you talked to him)

Not all the times it is rewarding

I spend nearly an hour to wandering around the Burned Old House for searching reward for grundel mission that never found :(

1. The Santhril "payment" for finding Grundel: In fact, he sent you into the Boogre Prison. You were supposed to vanish there forewer - that's his "payment". Therefore: get the dagger and kill that stinking a*****e including his haemeroids.
2. Talrik's Treasure: BTW, does anybody know that there are THREE chests on the sea bottom - not only TWO chests? [img]smile.gif[/img]

Is the 3rd one, off the shore to the N.W....or is there one that I missed????
