Hey guys, i'm new to the forum and have been playing W&W for about a month and it's pretty cool for a $10 investment, anyway, what i was asking is where on earth are the monsters for the ishad na town hall quests, ie the wolfman thing and the bandit king, i would've asked about doshi ginn but i read that in another post (thanks), i hope you can help out, you've helped alot already as i'm using xp which screwed everything up but it's good now.
Thanks in advance, All High Monkey0 |
The werewolf is over to the west of the vale (just past the gravestones, south of the entrance to dragonspire) next to where you find the corpse. He wanders a little but if you wait around that area, you should meet him no problem.
The bandit king is after you go through dragonspire and on the trail to brimloch roon. If you have an assassin, you can also pick up the quest to kill grue morde, and he is also on this path. |
Welcome to the boards, All High Monkey0! May life in the Gael Serran be the reason the sun comes up in the morning (and may you recover from playing before the sun comes up!)
the_young_one already gave you good answers. I'd add one thing -- IIRC, the werewolf doesn't appear until you've found the burned body. Look for that if you're having troubles finding dog-boy. The burned body is further south than where the werewolf is supposed to be... and talk to Scanthril in the burned-out house before you do that as well. You'll be happy about it later... |
Thanks alot guys, yeah i've been everywhere and talked to everyone, i didn't return to the burnt body though just passed by to find the stout mines, i'll look when i play for a few more hours tomorrow. after talking to scanthril though i can't seem to invoke the assasins dagger, is there like an invoke button because it isn't there...
(should probably be a new post but i got carried away) |

You can invoke that dagger only once...
Check if one of your character has Death Strike ( or what was it ) skill. It should work like ankhs. but if it used (invoked) you cannot use it again. . Spoiler . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . You can sell dagger in some shop ( not in thieves guild ) and buy it back. Then you can use it again... |
Welcome to the board, All High Monkey0!!!
To invoke an item, look in your inventory and click on the item. This will open up a new smaller window with details about the item. One of the icons at the bottom of this screen will allow you to invoke the item. Hope that helps! Wyv |
Actually, Olli, you can invoke it multiple times.
Just invoke it and sell it in a shop (other than the pawn shop, of course). When you buy it back, it will be recharged. Repeat until you have the skill level you want. I know that you can't invoke it as a samurai (poor Missy). I think you can as a ninja, or perhaps as a bard. I'll confirm the ninja shortly... |

I'll just put 'spoiler dots' to the message and after that there's line: You can sell dagger in some shop ( not in thieves guild ) and buy it back. Then you can use it again... use means invoke in this case... But doing it cost so much, that you might to collect money in other training. And when you have 'too much' money you can sell the dagger and buy it back and between this opeation invoke it to your characters. I've notice too that ninja can invoke it. Also assassin and warlock. Don't know about bard. |
Invoking the Assassin's Dagger (as well as all other invokable items):
Only a role that can USE the item can invoke it. The Assassin's Dagger can be used only by thief classes, therefore, only a thief class can invoke it and gain the skill. Warriors, mages, priests, warlocks, and so on cannot invoke it. It is the same problem as the problem with Amulets of Healing, Holding and Silence or with the Rings of Mariin. Only a mage or a warlock can use these items, therefore, only a mage or a warlock can invoke them and gain STR (INT). In the other words, if the item is "restricted" for a particular character then that character does not get the "invoke" button and cannot invoke the item. Change a class if you want to utilize the item. Note: Naturally, any non thief class can bring the dagger into a Pawn Shop, become an assassin, save the dagger by passing it to another character, and use the dagger now, when it is an assassin. |
