i've had trouble getting the liches heart from the sacrifical altar thing in cet's pyramid, i had to walk real close to it for the narraor to say about it and then when i clicked it said something is needed, the charactor that went to grab it was a girl with plenty of room in the inventory, the only thing i can think of id that i haven't "renewed" the mavin. Does that change things?
And why do you need the staff of death again for? i read the other post.

the staff of death is used to open the magical seal locking the tomb of anephas. as for the liche's heart, i'm not so sure bout y it happens coz i havent actually done it yet! :D

Something is weird with your game. Perhaps, you should think about reinstalling. Perhaps, some kind of Win**** causes another (which in line, OMG!)incompatibility with W&W. Perhaps, it's DirectX. Perhaps, some patch is doing it. Perhaps. I don't know. Try the gurus.
What should happen?
1. You need not have the Sword enchanted. You need not have the Sword at all.
2. You need not have the Staff enchanted. You need not have the Staff at all.
3. You need not have spoken with G'Ezzered'Ra.
4. The character which tries to take the heart need not be a female.
5. No items need to be used at the heart.
At least, the above is correct for my game. I am playing an unpatched game under Win**** 98.

Note about the Staff. The Staff and the Sword are the only means of hitting Cet. That's why the Staff is being mentioned when the Pyramid is spoken about. A party of characters will always enchant both these weapons. Otherwise, neither the Staff nor the Sword has a special use in the Pyramid.

My question would have been did you get this "quest" from G'Ez - as with most quests in this game things don't/can't happen until you actually have the quest. He needs to ask you to put him out of his misery by getting his heart and destroying it in the black flames.

No, you need not speak with G'Ezzered'Ra and you can still get the heart, Wyv. You can then go to the lich and the lich will say "have you found my heart?...", etc., and skip the "help me..." talk. At least, in my game it will.
In fact, nothing at all has to be done before getting the heart. That's why All High Monkey0's game is so weird.

Last time this happened...I loaded an old game and made it a point not to do anything...except... grab the Heart. It's just like Radek says...
And it still worked.
The only thing different....is that I am playing unpatched...with WIN 'ME'.(not much difference, it's still 9x)

i'm running win xp, the patched version of W&W, stupid piece of game..... i can finish it if i want because i've done everything i need to, even opened up the room to cet, man that took a few reverse time spells, bity lava!
