I'm running around on his island, right?

I manage to get him cornered and I start chopping away at him (you can't catch m---- YEEOOOOOOOW! You ca---- AAAAARHHHH! (hehehehehehehehe))

Then he casts.....dazzle.....i think.

My first character goes insane....

My second (an elf) is untouched and unleashes an incinerate spell on him (thanks 4 the advice bungleau!!!)

Then he vanishes himself.

Then my duo start taking damage and they are poisoned. My first thought was: "Did a centaur use a poison bomb on me?" but then I wheel around and come (literally) face to face (can you call it a face???) with an amazoni mantrap.

I seriously screamed and cast incinerate on it (because i only have one out of my two characters sane.....) and then charge up and start carving with my enchanted nightblade.

Then my sane elf dies.

Leaving my other insane character standing there defenceless, getting poisoned off by an overgrown weed :( .

I would like to blame this event on that evil little green midget and have added this to my rapidly growing list of reasons 'Why I hate the leprechaun...'

~I might even share it one day~

So.....yeah....

I hate the leprechaun.

Just wanted to share my feelings......

Cheers,

Moiraine Sedai

What a story!!!

Seems like you have good cause to be on less than friendly terms with that leprechaun! He's probably the most annoying character in the game (after Sebastio)

LOL. You have to love the leprechaun. Luckily you donīt have to kill the leprechaun and unfortunately you canīt kill Sebastio. It should be the other way around. :D

You have to not let the hatred control you, but rather make peace with the little man... and then throw him out of his home of course.

Hey, was that not profound?

On the other hand from what I hear he is worth quite an amount of experience points, so perhaps one should not tarry to fry him.

And do post that list. It would make an excellent topic.

Yeah, that little green midget is the source of much frustration. If I can ever configure my linux box, I'll bring Missy's adventures up to date. She has a real issue with the little green gomer right now that everyone should find amusing.

But as much as I like to pass the blame, I don't think Mr. Short and Pointy-Eared is responsible for the mantrap. I think it's just bad timing in the random monster department... or good, depending on whether you *like* to die or not

And you're welcome for the advice on incineration. It remains one of my favorite spells, and I'm glad you find it useful as well.

Welcome to the Lodge of Leprechaun Haters, Moraine We always make a short process with that rude brat. A game without the Leprechaun's Stick in our inventory is a spoilt game for us :D A few notes:
1. The brat was responsible for Dazzle and Vanish but not for the Jungle Lilly. Jungle Lillies are random encounters in the whole Brimloch Roon area. You were unlucky, that's all.
2. In our experience, the best attack mean against the brat are Lightning (better) and Incinerate (good but less good than Lightning). Weapons aren't a good idea because they give him an opportunity to perform his tricks.
3. It seems to be futile to attack the brat in his "home" near Kerah. He always succeeds to vanish somewhere outside the area or vanish completely(?) In both cases he becomes unreachable. You must get him on the Enchanted Isle.
4. If you run out of mana or the brat succeeds to teleport you away then wait near the netrance to the isle (I mean the entrance from the sea). The brat will occur there sooner or later. Your mages can drink a Mana Max Potions in the meantime.

hahahahaha, but lemme make it clear, moiraine, was it the leprachaun that summoned that mantrap, or was it juz bad luck???

Ok I found the leprechaun and stole his stuff, but the pawnshop doesnt register that i found him? What do I need?

Bungleau 04-23-2003 01:19 AM

Ach, boyo... ye haven't been readin' the Best Tips thread lately, have ye?

The proof ye need is nae with the wee feller himself, but where he keeps his pot o' gold! Ye'll find it soon after ye meet Kerah up above... but ye'll have to hold yer breath and swim fer it!

Good one, Bungleau.

If you really want to know, I believe what Bungleau meant was that you need...
