I am in the area south of Beregost and i run in to Bub and to my surprise i got Bub to join me and now i am wondering if i should keep him or get kick him out, and get Coran or Kivan instead.

And who was your character that you had talk to him? Race, class, charisma amount......

Moiraine Sedai, you can only get Bub Snikt to join your party if you have the unofficial add-on "Dark Side Of The Sword Coast" installed. More info can be found on http://www.dsotsc.com
As far as I remember he's a Neutral Good human fighter and I found him of little use, though the add-on itself is well worth installing since it has other new NPCs, items and quests. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Jan, Bub Snikt can be found in the area directly underneath Beregost, somewhere to the west. If you haven't got DSOTSC installed, he has no purpose in the game apart from a small conversation.

Ok, I'm officially confused. I just visited the DSOTSC page and I couldn't figure out what they wanted me to do as far as downloading and installing. Do I just download the latest version they have and install it? Is it a .exe or just a collection of other files to be placed in specific folders? Someone explain, please. They certainly didn't bother doing much of that.

I think you only need to install the latest version they have. But when it is down loaded you only need to put it in the BG folder and run the setup and put those files in the BG folder too.

just download the latest version, it is a .exe file. After Downloading run the .exe file to install the DSotSC into your BG folder.

As for Bob I did not like him much. His stats are not all that great for a fighter but you can duel him.

Ok, I've got the file and tried to install it, but no matter what folder I choose the file refuses to make the next button usable.
Any advice?

That installer should be looking for the BG1 base folder, but it might want the chitin.key within that folder.
