Yesterday i was playing the game and told Ajantis to use Lay on Hands ON Coran. Since it doesnt take long to cast and Coran was about to die i thought i would use the Ajantis healing magic as like a battle healing thingy. So i casted the spell and it said "Coran-Magic Resistance" so then coran died!!!!

Then today i tried to cast Cure Serious Wounds on Dynhir(dont know how to spell it) and it said that she was resistant to the magic!!!!

This is stupid but Dynhir does have the Robe of Good Arch mage on but i think this is a bug....am i right??

Its a feature of the BG1 engine - MR is a percentage to prevent the spell happening, and BG1 dosent make exceptions for beneficial spells. BG2 does of course, which makes things a lot easier, especialy given that MR of 127% isnt completely out of the question in BG2.

from the potion of magic resistance description: "it can be a blessing...or a curse". i think this is the curse it was referring to ;) .

AHHHH i never read a magic resistant potion before though but that would make sense. Does it happen alot?

Depends on the MR% - the higher - the 'worse'

Try casting random spells on Viconia sometime...as a Drow, I think she has the highest magic resistance of any of the NPC's.

That magic resistance "feature" is so annoying, I used Sword Coast Keeper to remove Viconia's magic resistance.

Luvian how could you have Viconia you evil evil man.

To each his own, I rather enjoy it as it is easy to boost her resistance to 100%, you also have to not mind her carrying around healing potions. For me she was the key to beating the demon in TotSC the first time.
