I'm having trouble on the second level of the ship. Don't you hate the way they're magic resistant so your mages are completely useless against them? There goes my failsafe fireball strategy ;) .

Now, I have fuzzy memories from playing this a couple of years ago about finding some dagger that is good against them? I have a sinking feeling it's actually on that level with them - is it? I'm sure there's a sword but I think it's on the top level - helpful  ;) . Also normal arrows don't work against them - do arrows+1?

Lycanthropes tend to need +1 weapons to hit. Arrows +1 should do it. There are a few weapons on the island that are espeicaly effective against them as well. The butterknife of balduran is not one of those, which is a waste of comedy potential.

I was certain there was a sword somewhere outside the ship, are you sure youve searched everywhere on the island?

Also, leave your mages and non-tanks on a cleared level of the ship, send only your very best in to clear them. A stealthed theif can do the run-in backstab legit routine. Tedious but it works if your careful.

From memory there is a dagger +4 vs warewolves or something
like that on the ship,in a wooden box I think.

Yes that must be what I'm remembering. Must be on the second level since I've done the first level. Thanks for confirming that

Hmm I'll have a look around Andrewas, for that sword . LOL I'm trying to avoid the run and backstab routine if possible. I used that one time but I dunno, seems a bit cheesy to me. Exploiting the fact that enemies can't seem to negotiate doors or stairs ;)

I remember now. No sword to be found on the island island itself, I was thinking of the bastard sword +1, +3 vs Shapeshifters. Lycanthropes are shapehifters as well, so if you have this sword, use it.

IIRC there is the longsword +4 vs lycanthropes(or is it werewolves?) - but it's found on the top level of the ship.

Instead of fireball try using haste.

similar to what others have said - i picked my best melee tank (i think it was kivan) and cast every spell buff i had (especially haste and improved invisibility) and sent him up on his own

works until the last level . . .
