I installed, ran into a couple of glitches in the install sequence but got everything ironed out so that the game loaded. Only to find that the same cursor problem that was common in BG and BG2 is here again in NWN :( The only fix I know of is to disable the Hardware acceleration on the graphics card....which completly negates the benefits of having a GeForce3 or 4 card :( Anyone know of other fixes for cursor problems on BioWares games? (yes Im going to post to Bioware too)

My system config.

PIII 1GHz
512MB Ram
Win98 SE
DirectX 8.1
Hercules Prophet III GeForce3 card.
The DirectX, Video and OS are patched to the latest drivers (did it Monday).

As I said in BG I had to disable the Hardware acceleration but that would ruin this game :( Im open to suggestions.

MagiK I had some problems getting the start screen, downloaded updated video drivers (Intel 810e series lol) so finally got to start a character. Then I ran into another problem-flickering invisible mouse. Is this your problem also? I was on the NWN tech forum and one guy had it solved by changing the setting for enable hardware mouse to 0 in nwn.ini I would try that but dont know where to find the nwn.ini file to change it. Would you happen to know how to do that?

hiya LoA!

if you installed to the default directory, go to:

C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwn.ini

but please save a copy first! rename it to nwn.old or nwn.bak so that if you muck it up, you can replace it. :D

Well it only worked for me on character creation then went to shit. I ran up to Best Buy and bought a new computer. Maybe that'll work. Then maybe not and back it will go lol

I've been playing for 7 hours and haven't run into a problem yet. And I also played around with the toolset for a little bit.

Lots of fun.

WinXP Pro
P4 2.0G
512MB RAM
GF3
Soundblaster Live
