Zidane 07-07-2002 07:21 AM

I have just found the fourth Waterdhavian creature, and she expects me to go to the ritual.

I have a few things to clear up first. As I won't be able to go back.

But, what about the doors with the sundials? Is that a specific race quest or will I come to those later in the game?

I can't go on with the ritual until I know, can anyone help me pronto please?

I am a Ranger/cleric.

Cheers

It is a cleric-specific quest (thus, you'll be able to do it). Go talk to Oleff in the Temple of Tyr (he's in a side room off of the main chamber). He will give you a quest to investigate the tombs of Lord Never. The first was unearthed in the Peninsula district, and there is one in each district. After getting the quest assigned, go to the Tomb in the Peninsula district. Once you talk to the guy guarding the chest, he'll let you get the stuff out of it. KEEP ALL OF THE ITEMS; they are the keys that allow you to get into the other 3 tombs. You just put the correct item in the chest by the door (there is a note in each chest, with an easy riddle telling you which item to put in), and it will let you in. In case you might have missed them, here are the locations of the other 3 tombs:

Beggar's Nest: in the Great Graveyard
Blacklake District: in a house behind a bookcase (talk to occupant)
Docks District: in the aqueducts (search all over; it is hard to find)

***Important Note***
The one in the Blacklake District has an extremely difficult fight. If you choose to fight the creatures inside, know that you will spend a lot of money doing the "recall-return" bit, and the creatures you are fighting don't really give you much other than some xp. Many people (myself included) ran in, grabbed the stuff out of the coffin, then recalled back (leaving the creatures right there for some other idiot to play with). The other tombs you can handle (undead, which are easy if you are a cleric).

I have done all that, what I mean is in each area, tucked up in a corner somewhere is a locked door, that says you need a key and each door has a sundial by it.

When I have been in conversation with Oleff he doesn't mention to doors with the sundials by them.

I am wondering if this is a request for a quest from the Cloaktower as this was the only place I didn't really have anything to do with, not being a sorcerer, mage, wizard etc.

Neruil is referring to a different quest, Tyr's tombs. The quest you speak of is a Wiz/Sor class quest. The clock tower in the city core, over by great tree, is the home of a magi guild. If you are a wiz/sor the lady there will give you a key for these for wizard labs. Inside you will find items to begin the quest for your guild membership. I will not give further info so as not to ruin it for you.

NICE NICE item at conclusion

To be honest, I don't know either, since I am playing a cleric (wizard-type is next on list after I finish with cleric). Anyone else out there know what those locations are about (you have me curious now, too!)?
