Listened to Aribeth's entire story in Chapter 2. Got her ring. Got to Luskan, and she disappeared. I thought if you listened to her story she stuck around instead of betraying Neverwinter?

No, sorry, she betrays NW anyway, the ring is useful for trying to convince her not to.
