I'm at the top and I can not open that gate, where Maugrim is. I'm a level 15 paladin, the gate is locked and I've beat it with a +3 weapon and I still can't get through it. I checked all the bodies and maugrims lair for something to use. What am I missing?

Were you spotted by Morag and then attacked by the lizard men? That's how it gets opened when I play.

I don't know that you actually need to go through there. There's a staircase that leads down into a small room. Go down there, pick up the items, and return to Aarin. That will end the chapter.

Shoot some arrows or something at the lizardmen...the gate will open and they will come out and attack. The three biggies will leave. After you kill the lizardmen go back and talk to Aarin Gend.

I was hoping I could talk to Aribeth. I actually did make them open it by attacking the gate and of course the 3 left. I just wondered if I was doing something wrong.
