*edit* oops and to keep this on topic, what is the highest + weapon in the game? Highest level weapon I found was a +5 Crossbow.

Highest weapons are +5 ones, nothing is over it. Not that we players will get our little hands on many of such weapons. It even seems that the highest enchantment bonus weapons are mostly bastard swords - my char has some +4 bastard sword for example, but he's using greatswords, and there is no greatsword with higher bonus then +3. Frankly I somewhat miss the BG series equipment :D At one moment I even made few BG-serie weapons and added them, according to the item "power", to loot of the appropriate monsters..
