Hello

I'm playing a ranger in chapter 2. I was wandering what are the use of crystal quartz's?

Another question.

Is it possible to have more than one henchman by your side?

quartz crystals can be used as components in some item-making spells (which can be found in books throughout the chapter) - Finding them is a quest from the mage at Port Llast.

You can also use them to get to see the aforementioned mage's inventory.

Henchmen: Sorry - you can only have one.

You can have one henchman, and for certain classes, a familiar or an animal companion. which makes for a grand total of 3, count em, 3 members in your party. so have fun! ;)

If you go to the Bioware forums and look up henchman mod, there is an add-on that was created that allows you to have more than one henchman. I don't know if it's gone beyond beta, but a lot of people have been using it. I think it states that you can have up to 3 henchman. You have to download the proggie though.

You can actually have 5 all total:
(You do have to be dual classed to get them though)

My character is tri-class though -> Ranger / Rogue / Sorceror

* Druid / Wizard
* Druid / Sorceror
* Ranger / Wizard
* Ranger / Sorceror

1 Henchman
1 Familiar (Sorceror or Wizard)
1 Companion (Druid or Ranger)
1 Monster Summoning
Yourself

I might have missed another class, but those are the ones I know of.

Sorceror/Wizard gets a familiar
Ranger/Druid gets a companion
