which map was he in? i want that hammer for my dual-wielding C/R before i leave for the Cloakwood areas, but just cant seem to find it...

Bassilus can be found in the map under High Hedge. He's along the eastern side of the area [img]smile.gif[/img]

Get the quest from the preist at the temple thats right next to Beregost. YOu will get gold and experince and maybe an item i do not rember.

IIRC, you get 1000 gold pieces, or maybe it was 3000 gold pieces.

If you make the correct replies to him, then many of the skeletons drop dead, allowing you to directly go an penetrate Bassilus from the start.

or you could just kill the skeletons for all that xp there worth ;)

An average skeleton is only 65xp, I don't remember if that applies for those skellies too,maybe they are worth more, but with all bunch of skeleton bolters ˝alive˝ it's a one tough battle.
And the reward for Bassilus is whoopin' 5000 gp (100% sure)

I didnt actually find it that hard with the skeletons, maybe because I've always killed them!

bah, i dont really care for the gold or the exp. i just want the hammer...(im playing solo, currently 6/6 R/C, so the meager exp or the gold dont really move me. its the best hammer in the game, and that moves me [img]smile.gif[/img] ). thanks guys! now i can stop roaming meaninglessly around the wilderness...

yeh that hammer is awesome, I always use it as one of my main weapons. This time through my Barbarian (bgt) used it along with battle axe+2 while khalid had longsword+2,sword of balduran and bastard sword +1+3vs shapeshifters

i assume that LS+2 was Varscona...ADD]of course it was. silly me, there isnt a regular LS+2 in BG1(slaps head in frusturation)
