Anyone heard any rumors about a new expansion yet? After HoTU I really hope they'll do another one, HoTU is just awesome.

No new expansion, no NWN II. Bioware's creating jade empire and iirc after that they'll make a new rpg but with there own intelectual property. so no new d&d games in the near future.

They are going to give updates for NWN via the life team', but I doubt that'll continue long.

Larry...a thought just occured...when they won´t make more...why don´t Ironworks...or somebody have a little contest between players...make a little expansion...I mean I´ve been daliying around with my Icewind Dale expansion for two months and have nearly finished Bryn Shander...just need nine small towns...some caves and a huge rural winter landscape...anyway what I am getting at is that maybe people need some goal to work for?

A new expansion would take about a year to make. A mod is totally different. Look at the DLA, they are altering the 2das in the current game to cater for the DL world and It's taken them forever.

That said, I wonder if a NWN 2 would appear after Jade Empire...

If the do then IT WILL BE FRICKIN' AWESOME :D

In a recent chat Bioware poeple hinted that more modules for download would be on the way, but no new expansions. They also hinted that WitchWake 2 would be one of the modules coing in the future. Also they hinted at more skies and auto-hak downloading in the future. I forget the other details. The chat log was posts at the NW Vault a week or two ago.

Way to go, Bioware. When I got HOTU, I kind of felt like those idiots who run to the store every month to pay 30 bucks for the new expansion pack of TheSims. That said, I hope NWN 2 (I don't think they can afford not to make a sequel) will include subraces.
