I have been using a +1 Drone Morningstar for some time now (I had it specially made in Chapter 1; I am now in chapter 2). I noticed that all magical weapons in the game, regardless of the type, so far have a +1 but no better. Does the possibility of having a +2 or even better in the game exsist or due to game play the +1 is it for balance purposes?

You will find better weapons later on, but the game dosent go past +3 in the OC that I can recall. There might be some special weapons that are higher than +3, but I can't recall any. If you have HotU, you will eventauly be able to find up to +8 weapons, and can have any weapon upgraded to +10.

I made the mace at Marrok's in chapter 1. It is +1/+2 vs undead. I'm assuming some of the other weapons are that way too.

::nods:: You won't find any better than +3 vs everything, but you *might* find some things that are better than that against specifics (Undead, Chaotic Evil opponents, etc). Details are sketchy, though

Also, you may want to hold off on making weapons in chapter 1, in chapter 3 you will get another oppertunity to do so and will get +3 versions of the same weapon.

Well, there is a +4 Katana in chapter 4. But that's as high as it gets.
