Ok, according to the book that Marrok gave me, I need the following:
1. magical mace and holy water to make a Mace of Disruption. 2. a gargoyle skull and magical armour AC3 to make Leather Whitebone armour. I have both the ingredients for the mace but he (Marrok) won't make it. As for #2.. I have the skull, but am confused about the armor. I found a +1 breastplate, was that not enough? I'm used to AD&D rules on armor, not the NWN (higher # = better protection). |
Did you talk to him and then click on the forge and put the ingredients in? I think it costs 500 g.p. to complete the transaction.
As for the armor, from what I have read there is a glitch in the scripting when it comes to that particular armor. I don't know if it was fixed in the latest patch. |
I put both ingredients for the Mace on the forge and then talked to him; he said I didn't have the right ingredients...

1. Make sure it's a magical mace ie. a +1 mace or higher. And it shouldn't be a special mace that does, for example, elemental damage, just a plain old mace +1.
2. The total AC has to be 3 and it has to be a magical armor, so you'll have to add the enchantment bonus to the base AC of the armor. I believe it's only two kinds of armors that work to make the Leather Whitebone armor; padded armors +2 and leather armors +1 |
I have a dire mace +1. Does that not work?
And now I understand about the armor. Thanks for the info.. |
Nope, a dire mace doesn't work since it's a different weapon type than a mace. You'll have to find or buy a normal mace +1.
|
ok. Thanks again for the replies!

Hagimihale, if it is not too late, see my post on page 2 called "item creation at Marroks". Note the Whitebone armor is medium according to the reply I got and not light as one would think.

Thanks. Yeah, I saw that. Considered using the armor for my Druid but the % chance for spell failure was too high for my taste. Sold the completed armor (made a profit on the entire deal) - walking around Neverwinter with over 10K in gold in Chapter 1. Looking for a worthwhile robe or light armour to buy/find...

Only arcane spellcasters (sorcerers, wizards and bards) get the spell failure due to armor, so your druid could use it without getting any % spell failure.
