Impossible- incapable of being done, undertaken or experienced. 'Collins English Dictionary'.
If this is true, how was it that I was able to defeat Mendalan and Gunlan both of whom were specified as impossible. Perhaps it is referring to the chances if you had no henchmen? Or maybe it just says impossible to get the point across that the enemy is going to be very, very hard? Any ideas? |
Who said they were impossible?
SPOILER! * * * * * Killing Mendallan (or whatever his name is) is optional, while killing Gudnan (or whatever her name is :D ) is necessary to progress the plot. [ 10-23-2004, 11:28 AM: Message edited by: Stratos ] |
A creature is classified as "Impossible" when you click their info (Stratos) when they are more than five levels/HD higher than you. This actually does not take henchmen into account... That's why you can beat them.

Heh, and here I thought someone at IW had been saying to Blunderbuss that these enemies are more or less impossible to beat.

yeah. read the manual for info about the CR given in NWN. And most of the time, you can never die as long as you keep your potions plentiful.

As was said above the Impossible rating is only a guideline.
Impossible is when the creature is 5+ levels above you. Definatly killable if you play it wise and use tactics. Note: Biowares explination is Death is guaranteed howver I've killed impossible creatures before. The higher in levels you get the less and less it means. |
