Have been playing for a day or so now, and my Lawful Neutral monk seems to be on a slippery slide towards Lawful Good. ( Serves me right for doing goody-goody things )

I know that that my character can still level up if she becomes Lawful Good, but are there any other penalties and/or bonuses for doing an alignment change?
What happens, if anything, if I were go change to Lawful Good, and then "evil" my back to Lawful Neutral again?

Does any of this affect use of this character in other modules?

So long as you don't lose Lawful status, you won't lose your monk class. However, depending on how you get to evil...I am not aware of any penalties for going from neutral either way, so I'd say no. The import aspect of your alignment will be Lawful.

The only effects I can think of is on alignment-restricted items and spells like Protection from Alignment. It'll only have effects in other modules if the module creator made it so that alignment matters.

Protection from evil will work on evil chars, after all, the creatures you face that are evil won't be the same faction as you, no matter what, or by and large anyway. I imagine that there are modules out there where this may not be the case, but when using Gate, Prot. from Evil still protects you, regardless of your alignment.

Thanks for the info - I don't plan to download any modules, so it looks like I'm OK as long as I keep the Lawful part of the alignment.
