Does anyone happen to know that one ? I took the key from collector himself, but apparently that wasn't enough. Any help would be appreciated.

I could also use a clue about the fireplace, reaching into the fire only damages my character, so what's the idea behind this one ?

Try 5-1-3. If it's the door I think it is, that should work.

Not sure about the fireplace.

The code works alright, but the door remains locked. What am i missing here ?

hmmm, not sure .... I know I have seen a thread on this at the bioware forums. Let me check and see what could be happening.


Edit: Arrrrrrrrrgh! You have to douse the fire first. Silly me.

In order to get the key from the fireplace you must go downstairs to the room that has the servants in it. Get the empty bottle out of the wash basin and put it in the container of water next to the wash basin. This should turn the empty bottle into a bottle of water, which you then take back to the fireplace and douse the flame.

BTW, I think there are three keys all told, but can't remember. THe key you need is actually in the fire. I may have this a little screwed up - it's late, just had a great dinner and the merlot is kicking in. LOL

Hey thanks, mighty usefull. You also happen to know a few spots for mining ore ? I already found one, so the greycloaks in my keep have swords instead of clubs, but i need more ore for armour and stuff.

Ore can be found in these places:

1 location in the Troll cave
2 locations in the Bonegnasher orc cave
2 locations in the Eyegouger orc cave
1 location in the Dwarven stronghold
1 location in the well of Ember (have heard reports that there is a second one here as well)

1 location near the red dragon
2 locations near the crystal dragon (one near the heart and one near the world map entrance)
2 locations on fire giant mountain

there is also supposed to be ore near the ambassador from luskan

Probably a couple that I have missed

And thanks again, doing my rounds now, except for some reason, West Harbour no longer appears on my worldmap, maybe it's temporary, dunno. The spider is slain by my hands, so that's too bad, and the guy hiding in Ember is also no longer around, i think i spoke to him earlier and he simply left.

Kind of a drag that i have to backtrack all the way for those ore deposits, but so far i've already encountered kind of a sub mission that i completely overlooked...the bugbear cave where you end up with a nice pair of gauntlets. So it hasn't been completely for nothing. :D

IIRC, he reappears again, but in another location. Then again it could ALSO be a bug - lots of people having trouble with him, so don't feel alone.
