Hey Everyone,

This post is for the people who want to use the CEP Heads & Portraits on their NEW server vault characters. The reason why some of you can't use them at the moment is because the game hasn't read the haks when your character is being created. To overcome this you need to place some files in your override folder.

For CEP Heads

1. Download this pack and extract it to your override folder.

http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/hakpack...00967000.shtml

2. Start a new game and you should be able to select CEP heads.

For CEP Portraits

1. Download this pack and extract it into your C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\portraits folder ( or whereever you installed it. If there is no portraits folder just create it)

You should now beable to select a CEP Portraits.

Have fun!

Cheers

There is one downside to doing this.

If you now create a character with a CEP head or portrait on a non-CEP server, other players who don't have CEP will see your portrait as blank and your head either as another of the standard heads, or none at all, leaving you headless in their experience.
Other than that it's a fine idea.

Opps I fogot the downside. Thanks for reminding me Legolas!

True, but the servervault for EfU is CEP, and everyone joining has to have CEP. Do you mean these addons? Because I would think the hak would load them from the hak--as long as the names are the same, am I right?

Well I certainly got a whole lot more portraits to chose from by following those instructions.

For EfU, it shouldn't make any difference so it's nothing to worry about. It's just a general problem with overrides that only those who have them can see their effects, and everyone else will either see the standard model the override replaces, or nothing at all if the override adds something new (as they'll have no data on whatever thing the override refers to, values will be 0).

When your creating a character if you don't have the files in the override folder then you can't create a character with a CEP head because the hak hasn't been loaded yet.

The only workaround for this was what I posted above and was all I could find in the CEP forum on the Bioware website.

The only other issue with this is some of these files may change with the new 1.64 patch since the CEP will have to be patched as well.
