Belle and I saw the latest Bond movie this weekend. This is the 20th Bond movie so far, beginning with Dr. No back in 1962, making James Bond the longest-running chain of reasonably successful sequels in film history.
So without further ado, a review for you. Sorry for the stupid rhyme....

Positive
Bond always manages to deliver a solid punch, a lot of action, a sarcastic quip, a perfectly pressed shirt, and a delictable vodka martini (shaken, not stirred).
Halle Berry gives a wonderful tribute to Ursula Andress, again going all the way back to Dr. No.
This film lives up to Bond's reputation as the original action hero, going almost non-stop from the opening sequence through until the very end.
We get to see more human elements in Bond (a trend in the Brosnan interpretation), including two firsts--his capture by enemy forces and a bloody nose. Yes, he is human, after all.
Aston-Martin is back!

Negative
Unbelievably obvious CGI in some places; this detracts even from the "suspension of belief" required for a full movie-going enjoyment.
His car is a little over the top, even for Bond.
The main villain is, on the surface, a rehash of Maximilian Zorin from View to a Kill. Elements from Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever are also present; I hope the franchise doesn't start parodying itself for new ideas....
Pierce needs a touch of Grecian Formula 44 on his temples.

Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable 8 out of 10.

Pierce Brosnan will make at least one more Bond movie, but after that--who knows? That being asked, the next question is "Who will be the next Bond?"

edit: later I will be making a post about the relation between Bond movies and both current events and paranoia.

LoL I want to see Clooney as Bond heheheh No I like Brosnan, but this movie was a bit over the top with some of the obviously CGI effects. I think they were really trying to drag some new fans into the fold, and in the end sort of disappointed some of us older bond fans.

All in all I enjoyed the movie but it really was a bit over done in some places.

I liked the fact that the Bond girl was more than a 2 dimesional helpless characture, Halle Berry kicked butt in that film

Hurray for Bond!
I am very enthusiastic about this movie, me and my step-dad are going to see it, maybe this weekend....
and Goerge Clooney as Bond? Im hoping that was a sarcastic suggestion, cause man, that guy would KILL the Bond franchise as soon as the press released the info....bleh...
I think that Sean Connery was the best Bond, so classic and Classy!

Sauceman sighing out...
