They filmed the episode before they decided to can the series.

they were supposed to have had fifth series funding from the scifi channel but "apparently" the show didn't make financial sense anymore (unsurprising when they put it on at 10pm)

they only found out it was cut on the first day filming the fifth series.

i'm not sure whether they're looking for alternative funding for the series, noone says.
but they say a film is possible.

though i'm not sure how it would work as a film, for people who've never seen it before it could be confusing, unless backplot was explained quickly and correctly.

but i certainly wait in hope

and no, they won't except cheques to pay for a series! why not?!
if only the fans could send in £1/$1 dollar each, then maybe they could raise enough money.

I have heard something about a movie though. Watched a show/interview with the cast and crew about the end of the series.. and a movie was mentioned. Weather it is a made for tv movie..wich seems likely,or Big Screen I`m not sure.
