Have any of you seen this japanese movie? it is awesome

- picture this for a plotline

in the future a new law is past stating that every year a class of school kids will be randomly selected to go to an uninhabited island and fight to the death
sounds insane? it is but this movie is so well put together i thought id recomend it to anyone.... ( over the age of 15 )

I've seen it. It's gruesome and definitely not for children, but I thought it was very good nonetheless!

Seen it as well... Hand-picked it myself actually (of course after deliberation with the other three people in the committee ;) ) to be shown during a cultural festival earlier this year. Beneath all of the violence and gore, there's an interesting and confrontational storyline to be found, surely to get you thinking about what you would do, were you faced with a similar gruesome situation and its ethical dilemmas.

Awg, the movie committee of the Virus festival organization, which was responsible for selecting movies to show, for arranging those particular movies and the movie equipment, for arranging volunteers to handle that equipment etc. ;)

lol, yup I've seen it. Was wondering if anyone was ever going to post a topic on it actually ;) . Great film. I liked it a lot, save in parts it was too predictable... heh, my friend showed it to me, and I went out and bought it on special ed DVD, and I only do that with films I really like. I'd give it a 8 or 9 out of 10. Can't wait til the next one comes out, although the focus seems to have shifted from trying to survive to something else, from what I've heard.

I've seen it. Just the other day I was considering buying the special edition DVD (£24.99 though  ). I really enjoyed it, but the end disappointed.

I heard the new twist is this time the kids are paired, up and if your buddy gets capped then your head automatically pops

great movie
looking forward to reading the book
wouldnt want to see a sequal though,
sequals of movies based on books dont turn out well usually,
especially if there isnt a second book.
