Actually it isn't out until the end of September. I think it's been made already but they pushed back the release so it didn't coincide with Star Wars.

I saw the trailer a few days ago and it looks fantastic. Even if it's only half as good as the series it will still be great.

And yes, I agree, it would be fantastic to bring the show back so I hope it does well in the cinema.

I saw an advanced screening this past Thursday in Toronto. IT IS AWESOME!!!

This movie will not dissapoint, I can't stress how good of a movie it is. Sucks that I have to wait until September to see it again.

You got to meet Simon??? How did you get to go to an advanced screening? I'm so jealous! My husband and I were so angry with Fox for cancelling firefly that we boycotted the station and wouldn't watch anything on that channel for over a year. They're such morons!

Did you know the Sci Fi channel has picked up firefly? At least to show the reruns of the 15 episodes of the first season. They haven't said anything about a season two, but at least it's a start!

Anytime there's going to be advanced screenings Joss Whedon comes on in advance to let us know. Be warned though, tickets sell out (normal price of a movie ticket) within minutes.

This last go around they did 35 cities. I went to Toronto, it was $9 Cndn.

Universal only has the movie and syndication rights (they own Sci-fi). Fox still owns the rights to make new episodes, so if there are any more, unless Fox sells the rights, it'll be on Fox (booo!!). Joss has said any continuation of the story will probably be in movies, not TV, although he has said he may return to TV in the future for other shows.

Have the comic books come out yet? There is supposed to be three comic books that act as a bridge between the tv series and the movie. They are going through...errrr what's it called? Black horse? Black steed...(not a comic book person) Anyway some comic book company that has the name of a horse in it! Or something lol.
