I am a huge Halloween fan (the Movie) and the first one was the best. Well, CNN is reporting that Moustapha Akkad was in a wedding that was bombed a day ago. :( I really liked him, and John Carpenter. (Same for Debra Hill, which also passed away due to breast cancer).

He will be missed.

Man, that's horrible. He was one of the few people who ever made a decent horror movie. It's a horrible loss.

I loved the first two films in particular and this comes as a tremendous shock. Thanks for the link, Ziroc. I'll no doubt get nostalgic for those films now out of respect for his and Carpenter's work.

I can only hope that any potential new film's made with the Halloween monkier don't continue to blemish his halloween legacy as many of the sequels have done.
