I took a risk today and rented Man-Thing a new movie based on a 70's marvel comic book. Of all of the marvel characters to choose from they make a Man-Thing movie. It was released straight to DVD so I expect it to be bad and full of cheese. That could be good that I am not expecting much and maybe will make me enjoy it more. Since it is a marvel movie I thought I would rent it. What the hell is Man-Thing anyway I don't remember this comic? I will be back with a review.

Actually wasn't a bad B rated horror flick, actually made me jump a few times and worth renting. Basic plot was a new sheriff uncovering a series of murders in a swamp, which started occurring when they started drilling for oil in the swamp (sacred ground). The special effects for the creature were decent. The creature is a guardian spirit of the sacred grounds who kills whoever comes across its path and has awaked due to the desecration of the land.

Warning: Movie is filled with Redneck humour.

ex: Sheriff: Why do thay call this place Bywater.
Redneck: Cause its by da water.
