Kaltusara,
The Software I am using is Studio Max 3, Bryce 4, Photoshop 5, Painter 6, and I recently started using lightwave. And to put it all together I use a program called Magix Video Deluxe as a video editor. I really wish I could upgrade my software, but unfortunately I am flat broke. I am more of an editor than a modeler, the real fun comes when I get to take all the hundreds of little Avi clips and make the finished product. I love modeling, but its not my first forte. What kind of software do you use? Do you have a website? I'de like to see your work. Speaking of websites, I am currently making my own trying to use Yahoo's Sitebuilder. I tried to upload it and kept getting error messages, and when I tried to go to the website, it said it couldn't because of errors(duh!). If anyone knows about making a geocities website work using this software, let me know. Whew!

I am using Poser 3, photoshop 6,a program called tread3d for building wallsets and quite a few different free modelling programs to make 3d meshes and create morph points to use in Poser. I wish I had 3d studio max -Aaaaaa,that would be nice- but can't see any way to get it. Any avi's i've made are generally too huge to use in a mod, as my pictures alone in 1024x768 resolution are really bumping up the design files size. I have a site on angelfire, you just click and upload the files you want to create a site, it's really quite simple. I make my site using frontpage.

I've taken the files off of the site atm, hopefully i'll sort it out once i'm not paying for my connection by the minute. Internet connections in France are 2-3 times the cost of the UK. Booooo.

Thanks for the info Kaltusara,
I will definetely check out angelfire. I am not happy with yahoo anymore as are alot of people. Yahoo has been cutting back their free services more and more and they are not nearly as cool as they used to be.

i was wondering what you guys think about poser 3 vs poser 4 vs the newest one. first, does anybody have any experience with 3 & 4, if so, would it be worth my money to get 4 instead of 3?

I got poser 3 free from a magazine cover cd. I haven't any experience with poser 4 but here are quite a few ways to fiddle around with p4 files in other 3d apps to get them to load into p3. I think p5 can use transparencies which would be good. There's so much gfx to create for 1024x768 res, so p3 is cool for what I want to do anyway.

i know that computer arts had it (poser 3) on the cover a couple of years back, but i missed and haven't been able to get an old copy. :( i've been reading a lot about poser and i think i'm going to go with poser 4 if i can find it cheap. (i did some looking into poser 5, and i don't think my computer can handle it.)
i haven't read anything bad about 3, but everybody says that 4 offers a lot more gadgets, etc.

Manikus,

If you do get poser, check out the link below for some cool models that have an enormous amount of morphs.

it'll probably be a while before i get poser, as i didn't realize how freakin' expensive even the old and used versions were. i did get the demo for poser 4, and it's a lot of fun to play with.

I'm doing 99% of my gfx with poser now, it's just so cool. If you are going to get any gfx software I highly recommend it. I'm not too sure how much poser 3 is, but it does the job. I've done 125 item pictures with it so far. Plus 40 or so small pics and 30-40 combat icons.
