Well, to dampen my need for Wizardry 8 for the moment, and perhaps allow me to survive a few more days without it, I played the demo again, so, I cranked the difficulty level up to "Expert" to see what I would encounter, and lo and behold, I met five Metallic Slimes, would have defeated them too, if it hadn't been for that accursed mage's backfiring Fireball spell at full power...... Tell me, do spells backfire just as often in the full version of the game as they do in the demo?

I also noticed Ulf's funny comment when he and Sslar were the only ones still alive: "We might as well set ourselves on fire! Would save us a lot of time!"

Love the Ulf comment LOL - to avoid fizzles, you need to set your power at a green level. You will get some fizzles in the ornage and yellow levels, select a red power level and you are just asking to hurt yourself.

I'm doing pretty much the same here - playing the demo again. Never had any problems with a NORMAL Saffy - got 4 party members swallowed by an expert Saffy :D .
