Has anyone gotten past the bamboo gate in the rat area of Trynton? That and another locked door (right when you get to the area) are stumping me.. I've already wasted the breeders, but I don't want to leave without getting past those two doors. Anyone gotten in?

Sorry, can't help with that yet, Case00 - but if you've gotten that far maybe you can tell me what I'm not getting right to even get to the 6th bough -

I've got the vines - I've visited Marten's Bluff as the Shaman directed, I've read the diary - can't seem to find the "idol" whatever it is and always get the message when I try to use the vines that perhaps I would want to try that later.

Any ideas??

On the bottom command line there's a merge button (left of the use button). click on it to merge the two short pieces of vine, then click the vine rope on the bridge.. Ta da!

Elara nailed it, that's all you have to do to get the bridge in working order

No - neither of you nailed it -

I already have the two vine pieces together, I have had them together for some time. I still can't repair the bridge.

Any other suggestions??

Really? As soon as you merge the two, you get Gooda rope (or whatever) Now just "use" the rope on the broken bridge and it works.

REALLY REALLY -

I have the Gooda Vine and when I try to use it on the bridge it tells me perhaps I would prefer to do that later. :( :(

So I've been traveling all over h*ck and beyond thinking that I needed to read Marten's diary and have his idol (which I still haven't found).

I don't know man, you might want to post that on the support forum. I had never been anywhere but Arnika and Trynton when I fixed the bridge. After merging the two vines to rope, and usng the rope on the broken part of the bridge, everything worked

I know I know!! ;p Don't *use* the rope on the bridge, just pick it out of your inv, exit inv, then click on the bridge with the rope cursor. Least that's what worked for me. The same for keys on door locks..

FINALLY got it to work! Hurrah!! Exited, rebooted, reloaded and it worked - go figure.

Ticks me off a bit that I ended up exploring almost all of the swamp and Marten's Bluff before finishing this bit up.

NOW - okay - I've offed the breeders and talked with Milan Calzone and Don Barlone and found myself in that age old dilema - do I off them or not.

As those of you who have talked to the Don, you know he has the Aestral Dominus and will sell it but at a very hefty price. I didn't like the price so did something very untypical of me - I offed them. You get over 67,000 EX for the Don alone!
Now - was I supposed to do that? ;)
