Hello all,

I've just finished killing the breeders in the rat trees and I've spoke to the shaman. I cannot figure out how to get to the chest behind the wooden bars though. There is a sign that says the 3rd something or nother has knowledge, how do I open this gate up?

Also near that there is a door that is closed (I assume locked) and I don't seem to have the key for it. It says it requires a specific item but it acts just like the door to the breeders so I'm guessing it needs a key I havent found.

I'm open to total spoilers right now because I'm tired of searching around. Any help would be greatly appreciate!

The chest behind bars in the third messenger room is for later in the game. You can't open it yet.

The other door may be the back door to that place, check your automap to be sure. Or, if it's the door that requires an item and has a green boxy thing in front, that too is for later.

BTW This game kicks ass. I haven't had so much fun with an RPG since the old Bard's Tale, M&M and Wizardry games. I thought they'd never make another game like this. I hate the final fantasy type 'RPG'.

You can't "completely" clear any of the areas the first time through, well maybe a couple but certainly not the major ones. I assume that's one of the reasons for the portals, so you can easily return to certain areas. But, you'll do a lot of walking back and forth. That's what makes this such a great game.
