Hey Moggl I do not know how to make the hex editor work, having some probs with it... if you could figure out a different way to get rid of the cap that would be great if not no problem and thanks for trying. And a question on the side... every time I play BGate now my moniter lets out a high pitched squeal while I am playing and only when I am playing. As soon as I quit the game the squeal stops. If you have any idea how to fix this or what might be causing it please let me know. Thanks again, Warchild

-about the hex editor: which one have you got?

-please, check the settings in the OPTIONS/GRAPHICS menu in the game as well as in the software that came with your graphics board. It's likely that your BG colour depth setting doesn't work with your graphics board. Example: If your board is set to 24 bit colour depth, you can't run BG on 32 bit.
