I was thinking, for a mage, pump INT and PIE then pump VIT! How's that sound?

INT and PIE are definitely great first choices.
Secondary choices could also be: SPD (which will up your initiative), or DEX (which will give you additional AC), but VIT is also a fine choice as you'll get a bonus to your HPs as well as your damage resistance. It's really a matter of what you think you could use most. And welcome to the boards. [ 01-14-2002: Message edited by: Erydian ]</p> |
I'd go for pumping up your initiative after int/pie.
I've lost count of how many times my achingly slow mage has tried to launch a fireball at a group of distant critters only to have them all run towards me and the fireball to explode behind them. You think I'd have learnt my lesson by now. The one time I did try to be clever and target the fireball infront of them so they'd run into the blast like fools my mage freakily acted first and I missed them all again as they were too far away! Ah well. |
Well, she keeps getting chewed by creatures. It seems to work. also, for leading creatures with a fireball, small creatures like bats seem to have more initiative than large creatures like Hogars.
Remember, you get 6 points on level up for attributes, so 3 could go into SPD and 3 could go into VIT. |
