Hey everone im stuck in that mind flayer city. I helped Simyaz and his gang escape and they say they will return in force to help me but never did so then i put the circlet on a mind flayer so he opens the door then a little futher on i found another door that says" A mere mortal may not open this door"
so i tried another circlet on a diiferent mind flayer and got him to walk near the door like the last one but it didn't work is there something im doing wrong? i need to destroy the elder brain so i can escape but can't get to it

Welcome to the best boards on the Web, Sir Francis. Turn into the Slayer, that usually works for me.

You might have put the circlet on a ilithid, which doesn't work, it must be on a mind flayer. Also, if that doesn't work you could turn into the slayer, which will open the door.

theres an infinitly respawing mind-flayer i a room with blood pools (IIRC anyway) to the east, useful if you happened to kill all of the other ones.
