Before entering one building Dijinns and Demons in Ascension Peak. What are good spells to use against them? They cast death cloud and other nasty spells that work regardless of me having soul or elemental shield.

Did you try Purify Air for Death Cloud?

Purify Air as often as you can afford, and treat them with some of their own medicine: lob a death bomb or two their way (and a Death Wish spell probably wouldn't hurt, either), and see how they like it.

Doing that, and closing with them so my monk/fighter/monk front liners could do their thing, worked for me with only two (temporary) deaths.

There are three dijinns in front of a building. I tried to cast purify air but their spells are too tough! How do I defeat them?

You can also try sneaking past them and avoiding a fight entirely. With chameleon up, we hugged the cliff wall and made it over to the side of the temple. After saving, we nipped around front and up the steps, without being seen. Have managed this twice in different games with different teams.

What's the average level of your party, lmk?

At level 22 to 24 I had no problem with these guys. My tactics were to cast elemental shield, soul shield, and bless the first round. Before getting in combat I have Magic Screen, Armorplate, Enchanted Blade, and Missile Shield active. This along with the items equipped gives me a resistance against all magic of over 100 for every person.

Second round I run forward and get to melee range. I do occaisionally cast purify air at about level 4 or 5. You can cast purify air multiple times at lower levels to get rid of the cloud(s).

In your case I would suggest the following items:

1. Make sure Magic Screen is active before the battle.
2. Make sure you equip you party with items that give bonuses to resistance. Cloak of Many colors is a wonderful item. Healing Amulets are nice as well.
3. Cast Soul Shield and Element Shield in the first round.
4. Charge to melee range after protection spells are up.
5. Cast Purify Air at the highest level possible to get rid of the cloud spells.
