I'm just starting out and I have several magic books in my inventory. I select a character and some of the books appear to be useable by that particular character. Not what, I highlight the book, click on the book, put in the character's inventory. Nothing happens. How do you use a magic book?

At the bottom of your "Inventory-screen" is a button "USE", its like a kind of hand...

It is near the buttons "merge" and "split", but check first, if the char is able to use the book at this time... when you "right-klick" it, you can see, if your char perhaps is not able to use it AT THIS TIME...

and: unidentified books can not be used !!
