The pirate ghosts at the shipwreck in the Bayjin Shallows have been known to drop light swords as random treasure. You may need to make several tries at killing them before one shows up. Some people have spent hours on this, so be prepared.

The chest in the Bayjin hut sometimes has a light sword or light shield. However, don't count on it. Most of the time, I end up with a Vaporizer.

Your best bet is the spooks, since treasure is generated at time of monster death. The chest in Bayjin is fixed the moment you cross the boundary and Bayjin loads.

I have tried for more than an hour and only manage to get one. I supposed it is possible to get more than one but it will take plenty of luck and patience. A whole lot of patience. :D

Ive gotten 3 myself in 1 game. 2 off the Bucc. Ghosts & 1 out of the chest. Also got the Lightshield at the same time as the sword in the chest.
