Right, where the hell do I get this thing? And if the answer is Marten's Bluff, then how the hell do I get into the part of the fortress where it is?
|
SPOILER
. . . . . . Enter via the Mine Tunnels from the Swamp, go north through the hub area, take the left corridor to the stairs, go up and search for a large, metal switch on a wall. Pull it to open the large red door blocking the way to the idol. Then either go back down the stairs, go back to the hub, and take the elevator up (found past Z'Ant); or jump down through the trapdoor (near the sword) and make your way back to the front entrance of the fort. |
Yeah - exactly what Rick said :D . Good to see you have the game at last Neb - I am just getting well into my first replay - faerie nanja in 4 man party this time.
|
4 Faerie Ninjas? Interesting, I might have to try that next time around, currently I'm kicking ass with:
1 Dracon Monk 1 Felpurr Ninja 1 Elven Bard 1 Mook Ranger 1 Hobbit Gadgeteer and 1 Rawulf Bishop Tantris and Vi are my RPC's. It's a bit of a low magic party, but it does pretty well, my Gadgeteer and Ranger provide long range and Vi and my Bishop take care of most of the healing, Tantris backs me up with a few offensive spells now and then, but offensive spellcasting is mostly my Bishop's job. EDIT: Mine Tunnels from the Swamp? Are you referring to the Mines which are the area north of the Swamp? Or tunnels which are actually IN the Swamp? Thanks for the help [ 03-17-2002, 10:06 AM: Message edited by: Neb ] |
He means the former Neb - the mine tunnels past where you found Tantris - there is a puzzle to solve to get the 4 destinations of the mine cart.
I should have made my last post a bit clearer - I have a 4 man party, with a faerie ninja. She is just about to get the legendary cane of corpus and transform into a death weilding maniac. I have been training her up on throwing while using a sling. That way, when she gets the cursed cane, she can settle down to throwing potions and powders. I will have her using the poisoned thieves dagger in her off hand. |
Hmmm... Okay, I've located a shed with three mine carts and a door/gate in one corner, is this where I need to be? What's the puzzle? Is it those four lights in the T'rang place where I found Tantris? If so, how does it work? I've made three of the lights blue/purple and the fourth is reddish, whenever I press the reddish one it becomes bluish-purple and then changes back.
The red one is the lower right one. |
What you want to do is set the dials on the wall of the shed so you have a route that exits out the bottom (south). Then get in the middle car and pull the lever.
The buttons in the T'rang outpost just open something in there that shows you the route to the main base. You don't have to do anything with that, though. In fact, I don't even bother with Tantris anymore. I just go in one door and out the other.
Nightowl2
|
