item." I understand it's needed sometime. I am
on the 3rd bough of Trynton, trying to make the gooda rope vine work. I get this message every time I try to make it connect. I have finished all the other stuff in Trynton. I go to inventory, click "use," click the vine, I go to the game screen. The rope will not connect no matter where I put it on the righthand post. I get the "second thought" message. I also go to inventory, click the rope, go to game screen and click on Use there. Nothing, still the message, when I try to connect the vine. It also does nothing if I try to connect without doing "use." How do I make the vine join the post? Is there a ground entrance to the Ratkin tree? |
Have you tried using the Gooda Vine on the center of the wooden walkway? That's worked for me.
|
OK, i'll try that. Seemd like a lame way to make a game though. Uh, why did you try the center of
the bridge? |
Xignal - i tried hte center of hte bridge, where the bend is and around it. No good. I tried the
center of the area where the broken boards are at the edge, if that's what you meant by center. |
Did you merge the 2 separate vines to form the Gooda Old vine?
Perhaps you may have to get nearer to the part of the bridge. I had some problems trying to get it to work for my second party but getting nearer help to resolve it |
Yes, you almost have to fall off the bridge to place the combined vines (in the center).

i've found it easier to find the aiming point for using objects anywhere in the game by seeing where the cursor turns into a hand which requests a specific object, then using the thing there. What really bothers me is cluttering up my inventory with used keys i can't throw away--any help here?
|
otter, yes, once its a "might need this again" thing, it stays in your inventory till you use it.
I think keys can be reused so you're screwed with them. |
Actually, for items that don't disappear once they've been used the only time they need to be (like the Ratt Key and Key of Serenity, etc), you can just drop them off in a chest. Just enter inventory mode, grab the item in question, exit back to the main menu with it hanging on your cursor and then click on the chest's lid to put the item in there. Voila! No more damaged black boxes and T'rang arms and used keys cluttering up your inventory.
I actually do this even for items I want to use later. I have a portal set at Antone's chest and periodically portal back there to drop off/pick up extra ammo, components for special armor and weapons and I even keep the DD, CM and AD there until I want them. It means I don't have to haul around unnecessary poundage until I need it. |
Are there any areas in the game where if you leave an item it will dissapear? I mean those bullet stones everywhere outside never seem to go away, pick them up just to clean things up and not make me think something good is there on the X-ray spell radar.
