I remember carrying this around the first time I played and I have it again. Is there some reason for it? What Should I do With It.

Other than being sacred for some reason it's pretty much worthless, I would just dump it.

Yah, it's (supposed to be) a clue about the 7th Bough or something, not an item you can use anywhere.

THink this is one of those items you have to sell or stick in a chest. Hate selling low value items that serve mostly to clog inventory space.
