I've spent many a hour killing Picus' (or should I say Picii)in Trynton and have yet to turn up the elusive Picus Egg. Anyone know where I can find one?

My experience is that you will never get one in Trynton. Go out on the Arnika-Trynton road and find a group with 2 bulls in it. You will get two eggs. You can also get some at the Rapax Castle and the Rapax Away Camp.

I just got one last night on the Arnika-Trynton Road.

YOu get them only from Greater Picuses, I think. Not the Bull ones. Since they are shy, you can determine whether you want to fight them first.

Rapax castle rooftop always has picus eggs but that might be too far in the game. Otherwise, hope you get lucky on the arnika-trynton road..

ps: bulls do not have eggs, need to find party with some big mamas..

Get yourself to Arnika-Trynton Road. Hunt Greater Picus.
I've killed 3 so far and they have all dropped an egg.

Thanks for the responses guys...I wandered the Trynton Arnika road for quite a while last night and had no luck....but I kept wandering till I got to the Wilderness Clearing (yeah, a little dangerous for a bunch of level 10-12's)...but I got three last night.

Kzonon, I could be wrong here, but I think you are on the wrong map.
The only other areas connected to the Arnika-Trynton Road is, well,
Arnika and Trynton, as far as I know.

I have almost always encountered Greater Picus on Arnika-Trynton Road.
And my party is the same level as yours ...

You're right...I used "wandered" quite loosely, as, I did wander from Arnika Trynton Road to Trynton then through the swamp and then through the Southeast wilderness and then to the wilderness clearing....

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone into thinking you could get to the wilderness clearing from the Arnika/Trynton road.
