What kind of modern weapons can you find/buy/get in the game, and where?
I mean except muskets/blunderblusses, zip guns, and omniguns.

Cobaltine Powerglove - drop from the Dark Savant
Frontier Phaser - drop from the Bucaneer Ghosts, single Sentry chest in Bayjin, drop from Jan-Ette
Mystery Ray - drop from the Bucaneer Ghosts, single Sentry chest in Bayjin
Flamethrower - Marten's Bluff
Rocket Launcher from Sgt Rubble

jeez, I've been lugging around 30 powerpaks for who knows how long--if the only place to get phaser drops is from the buccaneer ghosts, fuggetit.

Just store the powerpacks somewhere in a chest, until you need it.

But AFAIK you don't need them; i used the frontier phaser a lot in my duo game, and didn't use ammo :)

Hang on, where did u get a frontier phaser??? Where are bucaneer ghosts? Are those the underwater ghosts?

Yeah underwatewer; but when I got them I think they were called Vaporizers.

The Vaporizer is a Gadget that does Instant Death power level 1. It is a fixed drop from the Buccaneer ghosts.

yeah bucaneer ghosts are underwater, does anybody know where else you can find them besides the bayjin shallows?

The Buccaneer ghosts are only in the Bayjin Shallows.

I got it from the hut in Bayjin where the Light Sword might show up too.
