Will there be a Wizardry 9 or not? I'm a bite confused because there was an old post of Sirtech going out of business. Then there was an interview with some people from Sirtech and they said there are good chances that Wizardry 9 will be made.

well, if some other company buy the wizardry license from Sirtech, then there's a good chance that there will be a Wizardry 9.

I must have seen the same interview in June that you did. I got the impression that Sir Tech is not dead, but comatose. (they still maintain parts of their website) At least some of the old design team is working on the new Wiz9 project - with a proposed anouncement at the end of the year. I cannot begin to fathom how these design teams work/leave/reappear. I would love to hear from anyone who knows of the unfinished story lines in Wiz 8...there seem to be at least a dozen. Would also love to hear from others who have picked up those unusual artifacts like frogs and boots.

Well it seems that Sirtech is still in business. Where was there any news of the company going out of business?

I'm not aware of any specific notice that Sir-Tech tanked....they just kind-of stopped answering their mail and some of their design team showed up in other companies.

Wizardry 8 site has been updated with new tech support page. Other than that its largly the same but slightly different.

Not dead at all and look for them to announce development of wiz 9 someday in the future. Not anytime soon mind you.
