Hi,

my party was crushed last night after I tried to use hook & rope in the sea caves. That never happens to me in all my games so I tried to find out why.
It always happens to me if I used the hook & rope BEFORE I got the message
that I could climb up there.

I know three areas where this can happen:

1 Obstacle Course ( if you run into the spikes )
2 Stone wall to secret room in the Rapax Castle ( if you stand to close to it )
3 Sea caves ( as mentioned above )

So I want to know : Are there other areas in the game where the party can be crushed immidiatly without warning ?

Yes in elevators like in mt gigas.

Falling off a walkway or through a hole in Trynton.

Standing in an open doorway, like in Martin's Bluff, when it closes.

Falling through holes at the edge of some maps.

and this is why I do not play ironman

I think in trynton it is not auto death. At least in some areas you take a large amount of damage. If you have a valkrie they can come back to life.

Oh ya definitely sitting in the crushing machine in martens bluff will do it.

Any elevator mechanizm or door mechanism. There are im thinking about 4 in martens bluff.

And of course the falling boulder thing give you the you got crushed message also....

And um...well I bet the elevator in the monestary can do it to but i didnt try that. Theres something in the monestary that kills you but I cant remember what it is.

I too was killed falling from an elevator in Trynton but I stood in the middle of the platform. I wrote a mail to Sir-Tech and they told me that falling from an elevator this way is because the game sometimes is corrupted. I also had this fault when I casted Return Portal and after they appeared in the new map they were crushed.

All elevators seem to have potential danger. I had a party killed in the elevator behind Ferro's in the Rapax castle. Put the elevator up, climbed down the steps, looked around and got a screen shot similar to open air ...walked toward it, and got the grim reaper.

You can also die in the mine tunnels, if you hit the wrong level and stand too close to it. ( in the house with the little wagons).

this weekend my speed critters party was killed when they opened the door to the queen's prison in the away camp and the door swung open and wedged them between the door and the rock wall. a pretty inglorious way to go for three level 22+ characters with maxed str, spd and stealth.
