I've never really seen the benefits of detect illusion. The other abilities (possibily with the exception of move silently) are far more useful. Detect illusion will remove spells such as mirror image if detected succesfully. I've never bothered to max it out but I'm guessing that when it's maxed, it will act in a similar fashion to true seeing, when you will be able to dispel all illusions. I'm guessing this so if i'm wrong then feel free to correct me

The bonus merchants come from the collectors edition CD, but you can download them (for the sake of 1Kb each) from Baldurdash

You can get some excellent items, Vailors Helm, Plate of Balduran, Shield of Balduran, Sword of Balduran, Sling of Everad, the mercy killer ring and of course the excellent robe of Venecca to name a few. I'm not going to tell you what they do however, you can find this out for yourself ;)

Don't bother with detect illusion, Keldorn has true sight as one of his special abilities.

What is the point of Move Silently anyway? If it's not useful for an Assassin, then who is it useful for??

Sorcerer Alex 12-09-2001 05:19 PM

Move silently determines how long you can hide in shadows for. Once your character is hidden, and moves around, there's a chance he will make a noise and be discovered. A high move silently score increases the chance that he will stay hidden.

Not to risk offending a green dragon, but this is incorrect.

stealth =( Hide in Shadows + Move Silently )/2

Or in other words, your stealth ability depends upon the average of HiS and MS. Dundee posted on this a couple days ago. Amyway, the point is you need to max out them both in order to become totaly perfect at hiding, although you still wont be able to hide in the middle of the road in full sunlight. not reliably, anyway.
