I discovered a strange problem yesterday. Reached her, answered her questions and tried to sacrifice myself ( Gadgeteer ).I have only two males in the party and I was the logic choice [img]graemlins/showoff.gif[/img] . Each time I tried it , the game was frozen for a minute or so , then I could move the party again. Al-Sedexus didn't disappear but I couldn't talk to her again, so I was forced to reload. I tried this 3 times,then I changed my mind and offered my fighter.It worked !!!!.

( Maybe she thinks I'm too old, too fat or something like that ?? :D )

But seriously : It never happens in earlier games. Has anyone discovered something like that, too ?

I've no idea mate, I have only reached Al-Sedexus once and send my bard in, he had a really high communications level so don't know if that had any affect or not.

Iirc Al-Adryian says something like "one of your strongest fighter" or so, so it might be (wild guess) that lower strength/vit compared to the rest of the group might be a problem (but than you as a gadgeteer won't be weak or unvital, or? ;) )

That's a weird one; never heard of that freeze before. Al-Adryian says to "dress one of your strongest" in the Canezou; he doesn't mention a specific class. I suspect you're right about strength/vitality, though. I always chose someone with high values in those stats and never had a problem.

I did that in my earlier games too, Nightowl2.

My gadgeteer was not the strongest ( of course ), but I believe it has nothing to do with profession or strenght . I think, it is a bug in the game.

- a frozen game for about a minute
- the "question mark" curser disappeared after I clicked on the portrait
- no comment from Al-Sedexus
- she did not disappear
- I had "lips" to talk with her, but wasn't able to do it

But if I reach her again with a new party , I'll try the strongest first.

Yeah, it does sound very much like a bug. Maybe there was a small burp when you installed the game? I can't think of any other reason offhand; never seen this reported on the board before. Must be something very obscure. But as long as you can find a way around it, it isn't a major problem.
